Sump Gaskets were never originally fitted to the 300tdi, this is an aftermarket option. We recommend sealing the sump to block without a gasket but instead using Three Bond 1215 and allowing 24 hours to cure, for maximum sealing performance, clean mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or acetone (not brake cleaner) followed by the correct torquing sequence.
